April 14

Today started out with a bang. Actually it was a honk, several honks. The TV interview John and I did yesterday, was broadcast that evening and again this morning. So, today as cars were passing by they started honking and waving. A lady stopped across the road and yelled, "I saw you on TV and I am proud of what you are doing and I would like to make a contribution". John replied, "Make a contribution to the Ardmore Habitat affiliate". She said OK and drove on. Another lady stopped and gave us $10. saying that was all the cash money she had on her and that she would like to make a donation. John took the money, got her mailing address and thanked her. We are going to send it to the Ardmore affiliate with a note explaining what happened

Yesterday after the walk, we moved our RVs to Lake Texoma State Park. Very large lake just a few miles from Madill. It has two of the largest marinas I have ever seen.

As we walked through Madill, we kept count of the honks and waves. We received 35 honks and too many waves to count. Today we found an Oklahoma license plate, a tennis ball and 2 cents. Our theory on only finding 2 cents is that we were too busy waving at our admiring fans.
