April 6

Yesterday we said goodbye to Burkburnett, Texas and hello to Waurika, Oklahoma. We are staying at Lake Waurika, a Corp. of Engineer lake, about 8 miles north of Waurika. Waurika is an Indian word that translates into "worm eater". But, we haven't seen any restaurants that advertised "tastiest worms you ever ate".

This weekend Waurika is celebrating the 50th Waurika Rattlesnake Roundup. More about that later.

We got our 12 miles in today. Not much to report. We crossed 2 creeks, saw a trucker stranded on the shoulder of the road, passed by an old building that was probably the first drive-thru convenience store and found another Oklahoma license plate. Stay tuned .....

Hey Dick and John,

Just want you to know that I'm praying for y'all and that I received your bulletin from FBC in Burkburnett. Darlene grew up just north of there and Randlett, in Walters, OK, so I recognize all those pictures.

We miss you and look forward to your walk through Hot Springs. Thanks for your service to the Lord.
