April 5

Back again today walking east on Highway 70. After about 3 miles we can to the intersection of I-44 and Highway 70. We are now east of Interstate 44. As we passed the hamlet of Randlett, two
state trooper cars passed us with lights flashing and sirens wailing. They must have been going 100 mph.
We passed by the Randlett Denture Center and kept going.

At about the 8 mile mark, we saw something on the shoulder of the road that we had not seen before in all our days of walking. There, with 2 packs of mustard, was a corndog. It sure did look good and we sure were hungry. We assumed it had been there for more than 5 seconds, so we passed on eating it. John found a dime and I found 3 pennies and a What-a-Burger tee shirt. Stay tuned ...
